Jean Twenge and Barbara Ehrenreich’s overarching point is that Generation Me is preoccupied with attitudes that promote their self-esteem and happiness. Twenge argues that “raising children’s self-esteem is not going to solve the problems of poverty and crime” (187). She contends that the danger in self-esteem programs is that they do not prepare GenMe with reality. Hence, she finds that this generation faces anxiety and depression once their aspirations clash with reality.

How do we become who we are?
Trace the creation of the modern self - and explore what the consequences of modern life may be for our selves.
Use your experience in Second Life as a case study to illustrate your points. Your discussion should use plenty of details from your Second Life experience that show that you know what you are talking about; it should be very clear from what you write that you have had a Second Life experience. You may also use real-life examples, from your own life or the lives of others.

So there are links already posted here to some of the tutorial sites on second life. Also, there are plenty of YouTube videos that give tutorials on various subjects. I would also check out the Wiki community on the SecondLife Website.

On the right side of the video player, there is a "Browse tab" then you can choose the "Category" to "Beginner". It then shows a bunch of videos which teach the user how to do basic commands.
